Counselor Education and Supervision Portfolio

Welcome!

I am a student at Liberty University pursuing my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. Please feel free to explore my portfolio. You will find each category of the portfolio on a distinct page that can be navigated to at the top of the screen.

This portfolio shows the learning and professional development journey I have been on over the last few years

A little bit about me:

Professionally, I received my Masters in Social Work and certificate in animal-assisted social work from the University of Denver in 2011. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Colorado since 2013. Currently, I work as an outpatient therapist at Authentic Connections Counseling Center. I mostly see clients struggling with anxiety, grief and loss, or those facing a major life transition. I also developed the internship program and am the site supervisor for masters-level interns that are working at this facility. Additionally, I provide equine-assisted psychotherapy at Horse Partners, an equine facility dedicated to mental health, leadership, and personal growth in northern Colorado Springs. There we see individuals and families struggling with a wide range of concerns from communication struggles, to trauma, to grief and loss.

Personally, I grew up in rural Montana and now live on 35 acres in Colorado with my husband of 15 years. I find a lot of joy and fulfillment in taking care of our cows, horses, chickens, cats, and dog. Animals and nature have always been a sanctuary for me, and a place where I can rest, re-energize, and connect with God.
